Project Description
Putting users in the director’s chair, this video driven lookbook allows easy navigation as browsers literally drag between film frames, exploring the Women’s Spring/Summer Collection as our ladies strut the sidewalks.
User Experience
The iPad had just come out and was still a novelty, and navigation through dragging parts of the interface was inspiring. Kriss Creol, the art director, came back from filming the models who were holding cameras, filming each other.
Combining the two lead to the idea where the site would play the video with old reel-like artifacts, and that the user could scrub through the video sections by dragging and flicking the interface.
At the time, website visitors were still savvy to discover novel ways of navigating to discover content, and this meant spending more time on the client's website.
